BRINJAL MASALA(EGG PLANT MASALA)-VAZHUTHANANGA MASALA



Eggplant-6
green chilly-3
coconut-1/2 cup
onion-1
ginger-1smallpiece
garlic-3cloves
poppy seeds-1tsp
cashews-4-5
tamarind water-1tsp
cilantro-1handfull
corianderpowder-1tbsp
red chilly powder-1tsp
turmeric powder-1tsp
gram masala-1tsp
oil
salt

Take whole egg plant make slit in that.Add a  little salt and Saute in oil for sometime.
Keep it aside.Soak cashews and poppy seeds in water for sometime.
Grind cocnut,green chili,ginger garlic,cashews and poppy seeds to a coarse paste.
Take a pan.Add oil to this(brinjal sauted oil can use).Saute onion till it get translucent.
Add these ground paste saute till the raw smell goes.
Add all powders to this and saute well for sometime.
Add slit egg plants and salt  to this gravy. It should immerse well in to this gravy.Coat well the masala.
Add tamarind water.close and cook till its done.
Finally garnish with cilantro.
